New to the forum..not the most tech savy..Advice on new PSU

ok so a few years ago i purchased a cyber-power PC from best-buy..its run many games flawlessly without a single upgrade which im rather impressed by...ive heard a number of bad things about cyberpower Pcs shortly after i purchased mine..but assume i was one of the lucky ones.
That being said ive just started playing planetside 2 and during a recent gaming session my computer just restarted itself...ive read alot on here and it could be my PSU...so my question is..im currently using XtremeGear 800 watt PSU...what can i replace it with and be safe? dont have alot of cash for a highend unit..but dont want to buy crap either..HELP!

The Seasonic 520w PSU is plenty for what you need and generally is priced well around the world. Look for the cheapest place, and order it.

edit: and I see my post was redundant. bmockeg is correct, that is the one I was thinking about, not 520w. Great suggestion.

The Seasonic mentioned isn’t a good choice. Loose voltage delivery in modern systems, and lacks several important protections. 8 years ago it was okay, now there are many better options.

For budget power supplies look at the Corsair CX550M, be Quiet Pure Power 10 500w, Corsair CX550, Cooler Master MasterWatt 550, Corsair Vengeance. These PSUs usually sell for <$50 USD.
High end power supplies include the EVGA G2/G3, Corsair RMX, Bitfenix Whisper, Seasonic Focus Plus, which are usually found at ~$80 USD.
 
Mistake not.

Look at professional reviews.

Line regulation is hardly good, crossload regulation isn’t loose and goes out of spec in some cases.
The S12ii use the HY510N protection IC which is missing important protections such as OCP on any rail, and UVP on the 12v rail. No OTP is implemented at all on this PSU.
Considering OP’s System, and the current price of the PSU, the S12ii aren’t worthwhile.
