You have to stop thinking the Windows way. There is no device manager in Linux.

Are you saying that no USB devices work?

It's going to be a bit difficult dealing with this without knowing what hardware you have, but I would have to say that a total failure of the USB subsystem in Linux is extremely unusual; most people rely upon USB for keyboard and mouse if nothing else.
