Hey all, my gaming pc is getting on in years and while I expect to have to replace most of it I am hoping some parts can remain. I really haven't been keeping up to date with pc hardware at all.

I am comfortable spending about $800 USD. Particularly after value for money.

My current build. Its currently a 32bit system but that needs to change to 64bit. It has a legit win7 32 bit OS, not sure what the deal is with win10, but would be happy with using that. All other peripherals and monitors I will keep.

CPU:Intel Core i5 3570K
MOBO:ASRock Z77 PRO4-M MB
Graphics Card: Gigabyte Geforce GTX670
Ram: Geil 4GB, PC-12800 (1600MHz) DDR3
PSU: OCZ FATAL1TY 750W
Case: NZXT PHANTOM 410

I anticipate using Scorptec Computers http://www.scorptec.com.au/ to order the parts from and put it together for me.

Thank you in advance for your help!

What is it you feel your current setup is letting you down on?

The 3570K is still a decent chip, and the GTX670 isn't too bad a card.

The 32bit OS is easily changed. Your W7 key is valid for 64bit also, you just need to reinstall the OS from a 64bit disk or ISO.

Not sure where it's failing you, but a GPU upgrade, another 4GB RAM (a new 2x4GB kit would be preferred) and maybe an SSD (although would have no bearing on gaming) should do you just fine.

I agree. I'd upgrade to at least 8 gb of ram. Also go ahead and upgrade the graphics card. As far as windows, don't mess with windows 7. Just go ahead and grab a 64 bit Windows 10 iso. Clean install windows 10, I think it take your windows 7 key so you get 10 free during the upgrade. I recently saw an ad 240gb ssd for 59.99. Good time to grab one.

Windows 10 should take your W7 key, but I had first-hand experience last night of that not working. I had to go the old route of W7, upgrade then W10 clean.

Hey guys, thanks for all the advise so far! Could anyone recommend an appropriate graphics card? Also, should I try and get the same ram or just 8 gb of a new type?

Not really interested in overclocking. I didn't mention it but I actually already have a 120gb ssd harddrive.

I bought this machine back in 2012, August, I have been having some serious issues with it lately, which mostly could be fixed with a fresh OS install but I feel like its time for an upgrade.

I actually don't know which version of windows 7 I have, I am actually traveling atm and have no way of checking either until I get home.
