New Variant

Hi NG,

I created a new variant. OK, many people did so, before. So I tried to
do something special ;-)

Just have a look at

http://www.me-asal.de/imperium

It's the homepage of IMPERIUM. In this variant, it's necessary to catch
at least one SC in the first year to survive, and it's not so easy to do
so. And there is a special rule, concerning crossing water. The rule
should be well known from Loeb9, but it's much more important in Imperium.

At the homepage you can find Zipped files for several adjucating
software, too (Judges, MapIt, Mapper, Realpolitik and an SVG file).
Imperium is available at Judge DEUS yet.

Hope to please you!

Seems an interesting variant, though I wonder if it is well balanced:
certain tribes seem to have a lot more difficulties than others to get
to a centre in the first year (e.g. the Hunni). How many games has it
been playtested with, and what were the results?

Has it yet been implemented on a judge?

BR,
Millis

Yes, the Hunni and the Goths have more probs, but the huns got one more
unit, and the goths got an army inside the empire to equalize this.

There were two games, just running one year (because the starting
position is very important in this variant), and one complete game,
documented at http://www.me-asal/imperium/etzel (some minor changes at
the map have been done later)
