I just replaced video card and pc keeps rebooting or shutting down entirely why? Also, sort of intimidated by updating the bios... I have the support dvd for my M5A78L-M/USB3 But the Auto updater can't seem to connect to the ftp.asus.com.tw... Flashing the BIOS rather intimidates me.. battery removal etc.. Not sure If I am having a bios/chipset/vid card/ power supply issue or all the above.. my power supply isn't warm at all, in fact cool to the touch and the GPU-Z Program said the vid card is only using 10% of my power supply, But the message I get upon rebooting is that the motherboard shut down to protect itself from further damage due to an unstable power supply.. the fans on the GTX950 Nvidia were not spinning so I am assuming that the video card was not in the slightest warm..

Thank you laraiw

Well you already have a clue here, the system shut down because of a bad power supply, that is the first thing to swap out if you know the card you got is good. Is it a new card? If it's used did you see it run before you bought it? What is the brand and model of your power supply?
