New Video Card

Hi I bought a new graphic card gtx 960 4gb to replace my old gpu gt520. But after replacing the card the screen doesn't get passed the boot menu. It starts for 20secs and then turns it's self off and again starts and keeps repeating the process. My pc boots normally with the old card. My bios is updated. I feel maybe the motherboard is old but still Please help!

Motherboard: ECS H61H2M-17 v1.0
Psu: Corsair vs 550w
Processor: i3-2100k 3.1 Ghz
Hdd: WD caviar green 1Tb

Did you uninstall your display drivers before installing the new card?
