New vista install. Now no internet.

Hi, Ive just installed vista business upgrade on the girlfriend's xp computer and now I can't get the internet at all. It's saying there's no networks to connect to. Any suggestions as to how I can get it working please?

Go to a computer with internet acces, download the ethernet driver from the manufacturer's website
