right now i have a amd 8350 with 16 gb ram and amd r9 280. long story short, cat pee'd on my graphics card and now i have a EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti SC2. i'm looking to build a good pc around the graphis card, and leave the old pc intake for my gf, using a 1060 or somthing.

main goal is to play hct vive on epic lvl all games with a tv showing what the headset sees

heres what i am thinking:

RYZEN 7 1700
looking at:

Crucial MX300 525GB M.2 (Samsung 960 PRO Series - 512GB PCIe NVMe ?)



really looking recommendations here. especially motherboard/ram

A Ryzen 1700 for sure, but the Hero is overpriced.
Is it just the looks you're going for?
The X370-F Strix offers the same thing for less.

budget isn't really an issue. just might take a month to remove the 1080 ti from my current pc if it gets really pricey, but thats not a bad thing. if the bucks are worth it to spend im all for it, recommend your build off a 1080 ti and ryzen 1700
