I ordered a WD GREEN WD30EZRX online. I already have a WD BLUE 1tb hard disk. Operating system: WINDOWS 7 64bit. Mainboard: MSI B75MA-E33.
The disk is not being detected in the bios. Though a faint grinding sound is heard in the drive ending with a beep which plays over and over again. I don't know whats wrong. I am using 6gb/s sata cables. Please help.

Solution
That is bad. 🙁
The drive is most probably has some sort of mechanical flaw.

You can just contact WD's Support(already provided a link) and RMA the drive.

Hi there dexergo1,

Sorry that you are facing some issues with your WD drive. 🙁

The sound that the HDD is making doesn't really sound good. I guess you can try something simple as just changing both SATA and power cables. You can attach the HDD to another port as well.

In case the issue persists, and the HDD is not recognized even by BIOS, then I guess you can just contact WD's Support either by e-mail or phone and RMA the drive.

Let me know how this goes,
