New Windows Install Keyboard/Mouse not recognized

Hey folks, just reformatted and reinstalled Windows 7. I have a Razer Mamba mouse and a Microsoft Reclusa Keyboard. Downloaded the drivers for them but the PC isn't recognizing them. I can still use the mouse generically, but when I try to go to the Razer Mamba settings it says "No Razer Mamba connected. Closing now" and closes. They keyboard doesn't even work, so I'm using an old keyboard that connects with the ps2 or whatever thingy. Purple round connection. 😛

I saw I was missing the usb 3.0 drivers so installed those thanks to driver detective, but that didn't help. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

tried different USB Ports? i.e The front?

Also, the keyboard won't even light up.

what is your current OS? and bits?

what version of driver you have and for what OS is it for?, Did you look at drivers direct from the Razer site?

For The Reclusa keyboard I DLed the 1.05v driver. Newest one direct from the site. Same with the razer mamba mouse, from the site as well. Newest one, can't remember the #.

The weird thing is, I'm almost positive this happened like 4 years ago when I reformatted.. I have a sabertooth p67 motherboard. Not sure if I need specific drivers for that. I searched for it online and only found BIOS. I lost the CD that came with the MOBO, but just assumed it DLed it with the driver finder. Was I wrong to assume that?

EDIT: Also not sure if I'm supposed to install these BIOS, and if so, how. 😛

Found my motherboard installation CD! Didn't help though. Turns out I had manually installed newer versions of all the drivers anyway. Pretty stumped.

Just saw something, when in BIOS, I notice it says "USB Devices: 1 Keyboard, 1 Mouse, 2 Hubs" etc. So it must be seeing the keyboard, making me think windows is the issue.

Stupid question, but does my Monitor need a driver? When I drag a window over another one, it trails. Read somewhere a driver will help, but all I can find for my Acer S230HL monitor is something called an ICC Profile file. Not sure what to do with it.

There is firmware for the inputs for the monitor.

Have you identified your keyboard on windows (most keyboards don't have to anyways but you might)

Turns out I'm the biggest numb skull to walk the earth. Admitting this is very embarrassing but part of my penance. Went to take my keyboard to another comped l computer to see if it would work there and found that it was never even plugged in. ... Don't know how it was unplugged to begin with during the reformat and I was plugging and unplugging a third unknown usb device. Was on my way out the door so didn't have time to find out what it really was that I was plugging and unplugging.
