So I use to have a LAN connection but I moved rooms in my house so i bought a archer t9e wireless card. I pay for 200 Mbps download and when I got my new wireless card I installed it, downloaded the drivers for it, and when i speed tested it I only got 15 Mbps download. Now i am only like 50ft away and the only thing between my pc and the router is a door. My Router is the apple AirPort Extreme 802.11ac

Pc Specs
Intel I7 6600k
Gtx 1080ti
Msi Krait gaming 3x motherboard

Solution
Try locking down the router to the 2.4GHz band and to wireless N only. Set the width to 20MHz. Set the security to WPA2-AES only. If you are using the 5GHz band it will give you better speeds, however is is more susceptible to signal degradation when there are walls or floors in the way or if you are far away.
