New X99 RIG Storage Solution

In just few short days (in my understanding) X99 Motherboards, New Intel CPUs, New DDR4 RAM will be out and I've been waiting for it for some time now. I was one of the first People to Get X58 Based P6T Deluxe v1 and i7 920 CPU and it still works perfectly but I simply "feel" outdated. I am pretty much clear on most things except storage. Right now I am using RAID0 on everything even on SSD. I have 2 SSDs in RAID0 as my boot drive and 3 HDDs in RAID0 as my program drives. But again I feel this is yesterday. I think I'll be upgrading to SSDs only even for programs and will keep HDDs only for Downloads and Storage.

So here is my question. I see 4 possible ways I can go as my main Bootable Drive It's SATA3, SATA Express, PCI Express and M.2

From what I see SATA Express and M.2 are only solution that will give me 10GBit speeds and because of size and stuff M.2 is no brainer for Main bootable device and because it's so fast no need to have any kind of a RAID with it, not that you can really if you have only 1 port. So I guess what I am asking is what is my best and future proof solution here ? I am not clear on how Many SATA Express ports mobos will have and how many M.2 I mean I guess It'll be perfect to have M.2 let's say 256GB bootable Drive and another 256GB SSD in SATA Express for Programs.

Anyhow you see what I mean when I said I am not clear on storage, anyone can explain / advice on what to get so I am not feeling like an idiot a week later ?

I did a bit research and I think M.2 is best solution I still have some questions like M.2 using PCIx line and if I do use M.2 does that mean I'l;l have some limitations on my PCIx ports like can't do Multi GPU setups or .....still unclear

Big question is what are you planning to do with the setup.

I have been running RAID 0 setups for many many years and with SSD's for almost 7 years. I once had 4 SSD's in RAID 0 as my boot drive. As with all new hardware, M.2 may just be a bit quirky at first.

Once I get my X99 system up and going, I can give a little more info on the RAID abilities, but I would guess that sticking with the 6gig SATA's will be the way to go at first. I plan on 2 Samsung 850's in RAID 0 with 3 Sandisk Extreme SSD's as program holders and 3 WD Velociraptors 2 500gb and 1tb as data holders. When it is up and running, I'll let you know my thoughts.

Well ? I end up getting 2x 850s for main boot drive.

I made all new post about this but I'll ask you here anyway. What you think should I raid 0 them or separate and use Samsung RAPID on boot tribe via Samsung Magician. Causebif I use raid then Magician won't even see drives at all. And in general if you know this application how important is it. I mean I see some nice features th at RAPID is a bomb, over provisioning and performance checker. Last one not sure what exactly it checks.
