New XP install loads hardware drivers, but won't start up

I have a E6700 on a Asus PW DH Del board, using WD HDs. I can get into the Bios, which is 1206, and when I try to load XP the computer will load all the hardware, then it will say 'Setup is starting windows'. But it never starts, just sits there. I even left it alone for 30 minutes, but still nothing. If anyone can help I would appreciate it. Thanks
