My new z370h motherboard came today aswell as 3200mhz corsair ram (16gb) and an 8700k.

Since iv put it together everything is running fine on games and temps are all okay, but now my sound has gone really crackly threw my speakers and also my headset, completely stumped as to what it could be, iv attempted to update my bios (not sure if i did it correctly but the version changed?).

Also my ram is defaulting itself to 2133mhz and of course id like it to reach the full 3200, whenever i enable the XMP profile and restart the pc i get a yellow LED (which i think indicates ram?) Iv tried the ram in many different slots, thid issue causes me to get a 'POSTED safe mode' screen on boot up and only option i have is to go back into bios and disable XMP.

Any help on these issues is greatly appreciated!

Your sound issues are likely a bad connection to the speakers, or a bad sound adapter driver.

Test your ram using memtest86.
You download memtest86 to a usb stick and boot from that.
Use default bios settings with no overclocking.
If the ram is good, you should be able to complete a full pass with no errors.
Assuming you are good, try to increase speeds via XMP.
Start with all on default speed on ram.

Only when you reach 3200 speed should you try overclocking the 8700K.

I just thought aswell i have a disc that came with the mobo, will i need to install this? Problem is i have no disc drive but i could use a different pc to use the disc then transfer data with a usb drive? Im thinking the disc might contain some sort of drivers?
