So. After seeking out lower noise, I wanted to replace my stock CPU cooler with the Zalman CNPS5X. Right now, with my e6850, 65w tdp, I'm sitting at 62C full load with the fan at 70% and I can feel air blowing out of the back. These temps are not normal, even with my stock cooler I get around maybe breaking 55C full load. Do heat pipes take time to break in? What is wrong here? I've reseated it around 10 times with different thermal paste applications and I literally wasted a tube of AS5. Any help?

Solution
No heat pipes don't take any time to break in. AS5 does, however. But it shouldn't be that much difference. Just a couple degrees. Using too much TIM?
