Hello everyone
So I recently got tired of my old emachine el1852g-52w , and decided to build a new one.
So I purchased the following:
:fractal design arc case
:Asus h110m-plus motherboard
:Sentey Xplus Power Supply 725 :WattGigabyte GTX 960 G1 Gaming 4 GB GDDR5 Graphics Card
And removed the old Intel Pentium E5800 / 3.2 GHz cpu and fan.
Now I'm waiting on the 2x288 ram to be delivered. I've placed everything in their right position and everything went in nicely ,I went to do just a power up not a full boot ,because I know it won't with out a single stick of ram. The pc will turn on the light will come on and all fans will spin for a split second then power off. I press the power button multiple times and it will just come on for 1 second.
I'm guessing it's the motherboards overvoltage protection. I've ran several test where without the cpu the computer will not power at all , but with the cpu in just for a second. So do I need the ram just to fully power my computer?
