Hey everyone, my first build includes an i7 7700k, Asus z270a Prime mobo and MSI 1080. I purchased Corsair 16gb 3200mhz, and the mobo definitely supports it. BUT....

For the time being, I would like to increase the Ram speed as much as possible with as very very very little risk as possible. I know about the XMP thing and how it's supposed to set the voltage by itself, but is it truly accurate and reliable/safe?

Thankyou!

Using XMP Profile you won't have any problems you'll have to be prepared for, if you are running stock clocks and not overclocking anything else. Running the memory at 3200mhz is overclocking the memory controller the 7700Ks stock memory speed is 2400mhz. I run my 3200mhz memory at 2400mhz but my 7700K is overclocked to 5.2ghz.
