Hello,

I just installed a 3x2gb kingston HyperX T1 Memory kit. The part number is KHX2000C8D3T1FK3/6GX.

I'm using a ASUS P6X58D mobo which supports a 2000 mhz ram setting.

How do I set my ram to 2000 mhz?

Is this like DDR2 where I would set the ram to only 1000 mhz which would make it 2000 mhz?

Or do I just set it to 2000 mhz?

The bios has it at 1066mhz right now.

Just checked CPU-Z

Type: DDR3
Size: 6144 Mbytes
Channels:Triple
NB Frequency: 2142.2 MHz

DRAM Frequenc:y 535.6 Mhz
FSB: DRAM 2:8

ddr2 has a max set to 1066 over clock

Ddr3 however may get you closer to 1800 not sure how it would even be possible to run ddr2 ram at 2000 mhz that would be overkill anyway. I have ddr3 and it auto sets to 1333 and i over clocked to 1600. you need to follow manufacture specs and voltage restictions as not to damage components so the bios will not allow you to go any further than that rams max. You would need another 3rd party program to overclock any further. Beware of stability issues!!!
