Newb questions about a build.

Hi there!

Im planning to build a new budget gaming pc in august and im planning to buy a GTX 970 with an intel i5 4690.

My question is that what kind of motherboard should i look for if i dont want to OC nor SLI, and i have 2x4 gigs of DDR3 ram? Should i buy the cheapest one i can fit my parts in?

Also is the i5 4690 a good choice?

Im really not good in building PCs so any help is much appriciated!

i5 4690 is still a good choice if you get it for good price. Being non K you don't need very expensive and overclockable MB, just look for a quality one.

Thank you for your answer! Would it make a significant difference if i go for an i5 4460 then the 4690? I can get that much cheaper and im on a tight budget. Benchmark was the same if im correct.

Either would be enough for that class of GPU. Don't see any bottlenecks with it.
