newbie motherboard question

looking to install a second hard drive but i only see 2 sata connectors but the board says 4 sata connector.
boards is a ECS H61H2-WM. is that white box, some kind of cover for the other sata conntor?

It isn't a white box; there are 2 additional SATA connectors.

You don't pull it off as that will damage the motherboard; you insert the SATA cables horizontally. You don't see the connectors from the top, but it isn't that difficult to connect the cables. Motherboards often have connectors like that not to conflict with long and wide video cards.

jayk2k3: don't feel pregnant peanut. I was a newbie like you several years ago. My bro built me my first, second and third computers from spare parts traded in for newer computers. People would ask me what brand they were, and I could only answer 'they're Frankenstiens." I didn't know that, if it isn't a Dell or IBM or one of the major brands, that you call it by the name and model of the Motherboard.i am still learning about computers. that's why I like this website.
