This is my first time putting a computer together: does anyone have any advice on if these components work well together, good for the money or if I forgot something.

The ideas is to stay near or under 1000, yet get a computer that can play all games out there in good to great resolution.

ditch the psu and get something like a cosair 650tx. also, you'll want a 64 bit OS or you won't be able to use all of your RAM. and lastly, if it's in the budget, get the antec 900, it's bigger and cooler.
