Hi, since I've never overclocked before, I just want to ask: How dangerous is overclocking for my system components? Can I actually fry my CPU/mainboard etc by just increasing the clock frequency? I'm aware that I have to monitor the temperature, of course. But as long as things don't get too hot, I'd imagine that the worst that can happen is that the system hangs and I have to reset the CMOS? Or...? 😱

If you do it slow and check temps stability before fully using the system then you can't damage hardware... unless you increase the VCore/Vdimm above the recommended levels.

I love my Delta 60HP 7000 RPM fan that puts out more dB then CFM 😱

Thanks, that's about what I thought. At what temperatures would you say do things start to get dangerous for the system components?

Jus dont raise the vcore and you wont screw up your stuff. Voltage increases are what cause CPU's to fry
