Hi !

I had my friend build this PC about a year ago, and now I am thinking about updating it a little. I was wondering what is the weakest link in here, and where should I start updating it. I am a little newbie with computers so let me know if you need any more information.

- CPU = AMD FX-6350 6 Core 3.9 GHZ 14MB 125W PIB AM3+
- GPU = GIGABYTE Radeon R7 260X OC, Windforce 2X, 2048 MB DDR5, DP, HDMI
- Motherboard = ASUS M5A97 R2.0 AM3+ AMD970 ATX
- RAM = KINGSTON HyperX/4GB 1600MHz DDR3 Non-ECC CL9 DIMM (Only one card, total of 4GBs)
- Hard drive = SEAGATE SEA BARRACUDA 1TB 3.5" SATA3 7.2K 64MB
- Power supply = OCZ 500W CX series Power Supply
- OS = Windows 7 Ultimate

Solution
For gaming performance, your probably best off upgrading the GPU and throwing another (identical) 4GB stick of RAM at it. The CPU is fine as far as gaming is concerned.
Unfortunately your budget only really will let you go up one performance tier with the GPU, so not really worth doing. If you wait for the R9 300 series to release, that will likely drive prices of current cards down. Could be advantageous to wait for that.

For the CPU heatsink, getting something aftermarket will likely help with that. The Coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO is the go-to aftermarket heatsink.

Oh I forgot to mention that. Its around 200-300 euros, and I want better gaming performance.

EDIT: And one more thing, I was thinking about better fan for my processor, it is quite loud. So if you have any recommendations for that, please tell me!

Thank you
