Hi to all!
I'm new at O/C and this forum, I just want some help and suggestion from you guys! What can I do or should I do with my 2 computers? I'm ok with the new one but the other one just can't do anything >_<

1st system:
AMD Duron 700
Cheap AMD Fan
Pcchip M810LMR mobo (onboard videocard and sux, getting new1)
64 sdram PC100
2.5 gig maxtor(stealing a 10 gig seagate soon ^_^)
250W power supply I think....

P.S. I can change the speed to 933mhz with the bios but shows alot of errors in Window ME...

2nd system:
AMD T-Bird 1.2 ghz
Thermaltake Super Orb 1.5 ghz
Asus A7V133
512 sdram PC133
Radeon OEM 64 meg DDR
Pioneer 16X DVD & Sony 52X
Maxtor 40 gig 7200rpm
Nikao Mt-2000 ATX Tower
300W power supply

The one thing I'd recommend for your 1.2gig is to dump that ORB. Apparently they are less than desired in the realm of AMD users. Something like a Thermoengine, or the new OCZ Gladiator should work well. Currently I'm using an Alpha Pal-6035 but will probably order the OCZ soon.

Thx~
And what setting should I put in the Bios concerning voltage and the rest...

My main concert is how to make my Duron be stable in 933mhz, cuz ppl say 950mhz is very stable and mine gives me so much errors when I log on Window Me...
Is it the cooling fan?

Thx in advance

What bios settings are you running your Duron at now?

PC133 Sdram may give you a higher FSB and better stability.
Ultimately you want to keep the FSB as high as possible. 10 x 100 is slower than 7.5 x 133. So you need to crank the FSB until it gets flaky, then back it down a notch or two, then start upping the multiplier until you get flaky then back that down a notch and that's where you'll be stable at. Then you can also check your cooling. What kind of cooling is on the Duron system?

What a coincidence!
I'm getting 128 PC133 for my old computer since i don't want to share my 512 from my T-Bird...
It uses a cheap 15$ canadian fan.....very basic , crappy wutsoever!!!
I'm going to buy my rams for about 45$ CA!!! and depending if they have another fan, i will buy a better one for my T-bird and give the super ord to the duron...
I know it won't change anything until I add a real video card to it since it's crappy onboard videocard and I even tried to put 256 sharing 64 meg video...It's worst than b4 when I had 64 meg ram...Until I work again, I gotta enjoy my T-bird without network gaming ^_^~

i set a friends pc100 ram to run at pc133 (hstclk+33 in the bios) and it ran fine he was using the same pcchips motherboard as you although his ram was the unbranded cheapo type it still worked when when i told it it was cas2 and not 3.

every thing is personal when your a person

Thx! Your friend probably has the same cheap rams as I do...
Since I got pc133s now, I don't need to change it ^_^
Still needs a decent vid card...hehehe
