newegg board reveiws

I'm looking for a budget am3+ mobo. I look at the reveiws on newegg and there is a lot of bad reveiws on every board. Are they just the unlucky ones? There are a lot of great reveiws too so I just assume people's that come DOA are more likely to make a review than someones that worked out of the box. So are th $70-$130 boards really that bad?

No they are not. It is as you suspect, people that by bad luck get a bad board or a DOA are going to complain. This in opposite to the ones that got their working hardware and are not posting on the newegg site how good their hardware is working.

Obviously, people are more likely to complain than say something positive. DOA to me is not such a big deal, just a minor frustration of needing to RMA etc.

and from there you can compare reviews with Newegg easily.

and to go one step further I check amazon reviews as well.

also keep in mind that many of the issues people post about are user error. if they don't read the specs how is it the board's fault it did not do something they thought it would. if they got the wrong ram, this is not the fault of Asus!!

True a lot of the bad reviews I read it's like I wonder sometimes if they even try to troubleshoot the problems before complaining about them.
