Newegg has put its foot in India, or so it seems. Well Newegg does have an Indian version now, and it will ship to India. But as a fact it turns out, as of 24th Oct '14, it does not have any physical base in India and will probably not have in the next couple of months.
So as you can by now guess, it will ship the components from USA, which, after adding shipping fee will cost as high as Flipkart/ Amazon.in/ Snapdeal, if not more. The shipping fee is Rs. 1150 minimum, and more if you want faster delivery.
That fees may not be a big factor if hefty components (like high end GPU/ CPU/ MoBo) are concerned, the main reason being they're not available in India in first place at any other store, but for relatively cheaper components (like PSU/RAM), the fee may still play a devil's role.
And the prices are competitive but not the lowest, it seems. They're usually more or less similar to Amazon.in/ Flipkart's prices. Newegg will have to battle out it's perennial competitor Amazon and India's own Newegg, the Flipkart. Good luck Newegg!
