Newegg comes to India, not quite!

Newegg has put its foot in India, or so it seems. Well Newegg does have an Indian version now, and it will ship to India. But as a fact it turns out, as of 24th Oct '14, it does not have any physical base in India and will probably not have in the next couple of months.

So as you can by now guess, it will ship the components from USA, which, after adding shipping fee will cost as high as Flipkart/ Amazon.in/ Snapdeal, if not more. The shipping fee is Rs. 1150 minimum, and more if you want faster delivery.

That fees may not be a big factor if hefty components (like high end GPU/ CPU/ MoBo) are concerned, the main reason being they're not available in India in first place at any other store, but for relatively cheaper components (like PSU/RAM), the fee may still play a devil's role.

And the prices are competitive but not the lowest, it seems. They're usually more or less similar to Amazon.in/ Flipkart's prices. Newegg will have to battle out it's perennial competitor Amazon and India's own Newegg, the Flipkart. Good luck Newegg!

We can use cart2india for purchases directly from Newegg and there is a store for Newegg in eBay. From that eBay store we can buy using globalbuy of eBay.

Yes, I tried to buy GTX Asus 970 Strix for a friend from Newegg India. It was way less priced in Newegg, but after adding the Excise duty, tax and shipping, it was almost equal or higher than the actual price in India. Almost no people here wants to buy from Newegg for now, because they're confusing of what to do when a defective piece is delivered and/or other problems. Also, I tried to get the total price for 5 -6 PC components, it seems the shipping costs keeps on varying from product to product and the Excise duty/tax remains the same for all. So, bulk order will be cheaper when bought from Newegg India. Waiting for the physical base.

Do inform in this thread when anyone comes to know any further info about Newegg India, thanks.

Christ Aides.

There's other version of MSI: http://www.flipkart.com/msi-nvidia-gtx-970-4gd5t-oc-4-gb-gddr5-graphics-card/p/itme2v2zvndunc42?pid=GRCE2V2ZQGJXNVU3&icmpid=reco_pp_same_computeraccessory_graphicscard_2&ppid=GRCEYTZFHBYJGJGM

There is not going to be any noticeable performance improvement between these two MSI versions. Even if there is a difference, it will not be worth 4000 Rupees.

Yes, Gigabyte leads in the Maxwells (960, 970 and 980). MSI is good next to Gigabyte.

to close this question,

we need to compare all online shopping stores (price, service, quality, delivery and Trust) in india -

when most of the online shopping companies open their stores here in india-

flipkart is related to snapdeal (i heard they are relatives) .

flipkart has it's own courier team named -ekart.

i have purchased products from them. they are doing well
