Okay so i ordered something on the first of the month and it says 2-5 business days to get to me yet it still sits in Illinois saying this on track since 2:07am Melrose Park, IL, US Tendered to USPS...its now 6:33PM and no movement...very slow shipping..Kinda discourages me from using newegg..Love buying from newegg cause they have great quality but this slow shipping sucks

Well your package won't be moving on weekends since I'm pretty sure shipping companies don't work on those days. Also, it's not exactly Newegg's fault. They just pack it up and wait for Purolator/UPS/etc to come pick it up. If you ordered Friday evening, chances are your package didn't really go anywhere. Business days are monday through friday.

Generally I order something once a month from NewEgg and they are usually very fast. The problem is on some smaller items they use this DHL deal where DHL takes it to a USPS, which is slow. I always hate when I get the tracking number and it shows DHL, as I know it will take much longer than any of the other shipping methods.

UPS or FedEx from NewEgg is generally always 2-3 days at worst. Many things I get next day when they come from the warehouse near me.

Kinda funny when i ordered like 4 things the same day..people using USPS got here faster then neweggs DHL shipping! USPS is supposed to be the slowest shipping yet newegg goes with crappy DHL

The first of the month was Friday. Today is Monday.
This equals 1 business day, maybe.
Want it faster? Pay more for shipping.

And don't depend too much on the shipping status on the site. I've had things actually arrive at the house, and Newegg still says "In Transit"

It will arrive...eventually.

Wait... when your placed your order on Newegg... was it from THEM... or from a Marketplace Seller? Newegg actually ships items faster than any other retailer.. I know because I've used them for years. If I placed an order before 4pm during the week it's usually packaged and set out before 8pm that SAME day.. and that's with the free shipping... and on top of that, since the distribution center is less than 30 min. away from where I life, I almost always receive my shipments the very next day. The opposite is true with Amazon. Most items I order from Amazon take a week or two (free Amazon shipping w/$35) because Amazon does intentionally wait before packaging your order so it doesn't interfere with their Prime Shipping. If people received their orders too quickly they are more unlikely to pay for Prime.

I placed my order on ebay from the newegg store on there at 7:30am on the first the same time i paid for everything else that arrived today via USPS! Just shows how slow newegg used for shipping!

DHL is actually a decent shipping company. The issue with Newegg is that DHL just moves it from Newegg to USPS and that adds a delay. I talked to my local USPS and they said that when they get a pallet from DHL it takes 1-3 days before they even break it down and process it.

Also, Newegg now has their "Premier" plan, similar to Amazon's "Prime". Since they started really pushing it, I've noticed my orders from both companies arrive much later. i.e. I placed an order on April 25th from Amazon and it just shipped today and is supposed to be delivered Wednesday. They held the order for 9 days, apparently so I wouldn't get it too quickly with their free shipping option. I did a live chat and they couldn't explain the delay.

In the past, if I ordered from Newegg before 3pm on a business day, I'd get it the next day even with free shipping. Since they started the "Premier", I haven't received anything in less that 4 days.

It's been *1* business day.
Relax.

Saturday only counts for USPS! No wonder why so many people around the world complain about DHL and FEDX and UPS..They dont work Saturdays!

They do work Saturdays, but it's very expensive to ship something through them for Saturday delivery.

usps priority is 2-3day, ups is 3-5. generally priority mail is quite a bit quicker than ups unless you paid for expedited ups services.

if you ordered on a friday, depending on what time and what shipping method its not gong to make a whole lot of progress until the work week.

if you ordered after a certain time on friday, the order may not have been packed and ready to ship until monday. newegg does not process orders on the weekend.

business days means business days, the weekend does not count.

shipping time varies based on what warehouse ships the item and how far it is to your location.

the newegg order tracker is not always accurate.

once newegg has shipped the items and they are in the carriers hands, its out of their control. want it faster? that costs extra.

generally what the others have said....

---

i've used newegg extensively and they ship out rather quickly during the week. if you order late on a friday though be prepared for a little additional delay as it will not ship until monday. if i order sunday, it gets packed first thing monday and i typically have the order by wednesday or thursday at the latest. i've never had any qualms about neweggs shipping practices.

If you're in that big of a hurry, maybe see if you have any brick and mortar stores in your area that do online price matching, granted, you might have to change out of your old sweats to go outside. 🙂

USPS does Sunday deliveries for Amazon.

Dude, Newegg shipping sucks chiefly because they seem to have an exclusive contract with Fedex, who really, really, really sucks. They do not offer other shipping options without making them prohibitively expensive so you'll use Fedex, who they have a contract with. I am LESS than 100 miles from Newegg. Ordered mid-week last week. Sent to Fedex, then leaves their facility at 0539 on Saturday morning, after inexplicably sitting around for no reason for a day. SO....Monday moring rolls around, and still shows no new tracking. Finally, about 1300 on Monday afternoon it finally shows scanned in as arrived at Chino. Ca....this being only a trip of about 30 miles and took them 2 1/2 days to make. To top it off, this is actually FURTHER from my city. AND my city has a Fedex facility here. I literally could have WALKED to Newegg and got my package faster than Fedex feels like getting around to delivering it. And it only even popped up at all after I called and raised hell through two lines of supervisors (with nobody appearing to speak English as a first or even a second language, and all of them being unrepentant A-holes), or else I suspect it would still be sitting in the back of a truck...somewhere. Not like they'd know or care where. Save yourself the time and aggravation and order through someone else until Newegg pulls their heads out of their collective rear ends and dumps Fedex. Amazon and other companies are better about shipping and returns and if they cost a few bucks more here or there, you are gonna find that $15-$20 difference is more than worth it...
