[SOLVED] Newer GPU on older MOBO

I just bought a GTX 1070 ti for a great deal and was wondering if it will work normally on a quite old motherboard, it's an Intel DQ67SW from 2011, right now I have a GTX 1060 3GB installed on this MOBO and it works completely fine, can I expect this GPU to work fine aswell?

Yes it will run at pcie 2.0 x16. What processor are you using? Your return on your investment on a stronger card may be negated by the processor.

I currently have an i7 2600k, but I will be buying completely new parts soon and instead will be using a Ryzen 5 2600x which I'm pretty sure won't be causing any bottlenecks

You should be fine with a 2600k and 1070 its an old good performer.
