Newest Generation Enthusiast PC Build

Kind of, they're quieter and "look" better for more cost.

But I'd actually change the cooler if you think the 212 evo wasn't enough:

Looks like a really nice setup, and I don't see any conflicts or issues between the different parts, You should be rocking with it for years to come.

One thing I will recommend though, for the price that the 1TB drive will cost you, go ahead and get a 2 or even 3TB drive.

Can you get a z270 board you are getting a k series cpu and wasting money on a feautre you can't use (overclocking) if you don't get a z series board. Also I recommend you get a cryorig h7 as most liquid coolers fail after 4 ish years and those cheaper ones don't perform better and are louder than the normal air coolers. Also get a 250gb ssd 120gb is to small.

i didnt know that there was that much of a price discrepancy, i was looking at a wd black 1tb drive for faster read/write but if a 2tb is better what would you recommend?

I was looking at this board because it came in a package i guess i wast paying attention to the inability to overclock with that chipset. What other boards in the price range can you recommend with the z270 chipset? Also i was planing on the ssd just being for windows and something like my browser and steam because the 250gb ones were much more expensive or i could upgrade to one in the future. Are there better choices for a fast m.2 at that higher storage capacity?

Are watercoolers just overrated? this is what im seeing from the thread, ive liked my hyper 212 evo but it seems to get really hot still with my fx-6300 and i have a feeling that the water cooler would stay at a lower temperature. If an air cooler like the cryorig one you recommended is better than ill go with that
