Hello everyone,

I recently decided to replace my pc case as well as my power supply. The reason being I use this machine mainly for music production and the noise (as well as the look of my previous case) was getting on my nerves.

So I took everything out of the old case except for the old power supply and put it back together in the new case.

After hours of trying to figure it out, I can't for the life of me figure out why the computer won't start. I'm hoping someone here will be able help me out and see something I've missed.

Here's some relevant information:

- The LED on the motherboard turn on, nothing happens when I press the button though (no click, no noise, just the click from the button)
- Motherboard is Asus Z87-A
- New power supply is a corsair ATX760
- Tried removing the RAM to see if that was it, nope.
- I connected the power connectors (pwr, reset) based on the motherboard manual. The blue LED around the power button used to turn on but now it doesn't anymore. Don't know if it was plugged differently before.
- My computer was running fine in the old case, there is nothing new except for the new power supply.
- CPU is plugged into the power supply, so is the motherboard.
- I have several hard drives and one cable coming from the font panel all connected on the same cable going to the power supply (long cable with several inputs along the cable).

I've uploaded a picture of the pc so that maybe you might notice something I missed:

Anyways, thanks for any help you can provide.

Cheers

Solution
Also try removing the video card and disconnecting the cd drive. The only thing you want to have connected at this point is the HDD with the OS. You might also want to double check that the case wires are connected to the motherboard correctly. If all else fails try connecting your old PSU to the board and HDD and see if that works. If you removed anything from the board, like RAM you may want to reseat it in the board just in case. One more thing: did you remove the CPU cooler when you moved the board to the new case? If so you may want to wipe off the old thermal paste and replace it.
