Hello!

So I buildt myself a new pc.
If I press the power button, the system either start up fine and works fine too.
But usually, when I press the button, the fans spin for a half second and stops and that's all.

I have tried to clear CMOS, I have checked for bent pins in CPU socket without sucess.

Also, when it starts up and get into windows 7 i have a problem. The network won't work. I plug in an ethernet cable and nothing happens. The ethernet cable works on other PCs and I have checked so its connected to the router. The port where I plug it in on my pc blinks when its inside, so it should work, but no.

Please help me 😀
And, sorry for any bad english.

Make sure both the 24 and 8/4 pin power plugs are locked in. Also make sure on a new build you mb bios is up to date with all the bug fixes. If it not a bios issue it sounds like there an issue with the power supply. With your network issue there a mb driver cd. You need to install the mb chipset drivers first then the Ethernet drivers and sound card drivers.
Then go back into windows device manager and look for yellow !!! For missing drivers.

Well, my 24 and 8/4 pin aare locked in. I have checked every single cable to make sure that they sit tight.
The BIOS version. That could be it. I havn't updated it yet. If I had another PSU to test with, I would have done that.
But well, I will try updating bios first.

Also, forgot to say that I have installed graphic card drivers and all drivers on mobo CD. Before installing drivers i got the error that said "couldn't find driver" on windows. Now I get the "Connect ethernet cable" message, even though it is connected.
But I don't need the ethernet to work ASAP, since I have a wifi card installed. But I want to use ethernet cable because it's faster than my bad wireless network 😛

So it is either the BIOS version or the PSU that is the problem, you think?
