Newly built comp, but doesnt turn on

I just finished attaching everything (except the cpu fan) and the computer turns of for a split second, then turns back off. Everything is connected. How come? Sorry, video should say pc error

Some motherboards refuse to boot without detecting a fan connected to the CPU_fan header for safety reasons(overheating).

He is correct. I had the same issue until i plugged in a CPU fan in the cpu fan pin slot.

Motherboard is a gigabyte 78lmt-usb3, and my cpu is an athlon x4 360 @ 2.4 ghz. Tomorrow a new cpu, the fx 6300 comes in with a new fan, so adding a fan might help me?

Yes, and here's a friendly piece of advice, don't turn on an AMD CPU system without at least a heat sink attached to the CPU heatspreader, it can burn out in an instant, not saying it will, but it sure has happened to me before.

There is no x4 360 listed as a supported CPU.

And BIOS F3 will have to on the mobo for it to support the FX-6300

Is there a sticker or something on the mobo or box, with a BIOS version on it like F2, F3 or something?

Thanks for replying buddy. So this is because of no cpu fan, I want to make sure I did the cabling right. (This is my first custom built PC)

Most need a CPU fan, otherwise it wont do anything

AMD FD6300WMHKBOX FX-6300 6-Core Processor Black Edition is the processor I bought. The box or instructions manual does not talk about bios version. Here is the site for the info of the mobo

Think he meant 630, I don't recall any AMD cpu being called 360, but I could be wrong though.

That sounds better then x4 630. That should have worked since it needs F1. Unless its faulty
