These are my specs:
3rd gen Intel core I3 3240
Gigabyte ga-z688ap-d3 motherboard
Seagate 7200 500GB harddrive
asus Gt 640 2GB
Samsung SH-224DB 24 DVDRW oem
4GB DDR3 1333Mhz
my power supply came with the case i bought so i have no idea what power supply it is

So the problem im having is When i boot the computer up the fans start up, but it wont connect to the monitor but thats not always the case if it does connect to the monitor it will crash after about 10 secs on the Bios setup screen ( i have tried 2 different monitors). I have tried resitting the RAM card But that didnt help i have also tried resitting the Graphics card. The only thing i couldnt try swapping out is the power supply as i dont have a spare, But im sure its not the power supply because on my motherboard i have 4 LEDs 2 are green 1 amber and 1 red and i dont know what these indicate. Please help me ASAP
Thanks :)

Edit: I have tried using a HDMI wire and a VGA both do the same thing and they arent fault because one works for my PS3 and the other works on my 10 year old computer

I cant do that as when i power it up it either doesnt connect to the monitor or if it does it shows me the bios setup screen then crashes after a couple of seconds

i see

just to be sure, did you use the standoff screws when mounting the motherboard? just to make sure you are not shorting it out by direct contact with the case body.

next, i suspect your mobo may need a bios upgrade. so here is what i'd suggest.

disconnect the optical drive data and power cables. unseat and remove the graphics card from the slot. see if this allows the mobo to boot.

mobo boots up just like it would without that stuff

There is no video when i do that 🙁

I cant return it or exchange it. But i do have £50 if you know of any good one that would work with those parts
