Newly Built PC can't connect to internet (WiFi)

So I just built my new PC.

I took the wireless network adapter (Netgear WN121T) from my old computer. Both PCs, new and old, have Windows 7 home premium as OS, 64bit.

I installed the drivers for the Network Adapter and the little blue light on it is flashing as usual like it did with the old PC, and my router is working fine with other devices (PS3, tablet etc). On the PC, it has full signal strength to the router, and the MAC address of the Network Adapter is whitelisted on the router. Why can't I connect to the internet? I've tried everything I can think of, resetting PC, router, Adapter, reinstalling drivers.

I just can't do ANYTHING on my PC without internet access.

I'm not experienced with network acronyms and jargon by the way.

So has anyone got any suggestions?

Thanks in advance guys :)
