I have built a PC for the first time and am having problems displaying it on a monitor. I have the following setup: Ryzon 5 2600 MSI B350M Mortar, 8GB DDR4 ram hyperx fury, 500 Watt power supply EVGA, Zotac GPU 1050 Ti 4GB. I have tried RAM in every slot, a Monitor and TV, tried HDMI in onboard graphics and in GPU. I have the motherboard lights coming on for CPU and DRAM then they go off again. Fan is running. Still won't dispay. Any help would be much appreciated.

More than likely your BIOS version has not been upgraded and is not compatible with your CPU-you will need to get it updated to a more recent revision to get it resolved. You will either need to borrow/obtain a compatible 1st gen ryzen cpu/apu, take it to a repair shop and get them to do it for you or even apply for a ryzen boot kit if thats still a thing.
