my build with every hardware available: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/neoange/saved/#view=3jPx6h

the problem: pc freezes while gaming or while watching twitch\youtube in HD some time, high intensity games takes like 10-30 minutes like sekiro-dmc 5-nioh and others 30mnts-1 hour like sundred or hollow knight the screen freeze with sound loop, no response from the mouse or keyboard and can only hard reset pc from power button.

at first thought i need to update drivers which i did but the freezes persists, nier automata, nioh, sekiro or ffxv, hollow knight doesn't matter what game is it it always freezes.

against my better judgement tried updating drivers 3rd party driver installing software like drivereasy and iorbit but still the same problem even in pro version.

following different troubleshooting guides on the web tested windows 10 for corrupted files and repaired it, clean installed different versions windows 7 and windows 10 on different disks, deleted my gpu drivers with DDU and installed nvidia latest drivers and tested it with furmark for 5 minutes (was afraid to test more afraid of ruining my gpu) tested ram with windows memory diagnostic too, and tested CPU with different softwares and all was green, installed speedfan coretemp msiafterburner to check heat\framerate\cpu gpu usage mid games, there was no problem on any of those and the pc still freezes.

i was certain the problem was the PSU so i took my pc back yesterday to the store i purchased from, they didn't have a technicien so they just changed the PSU to another one.

back home clean installed windows 10 on a formated ssd, updated drivers normally with windows update, installed drivers from manufacturer websites and made sure to avoid 3rd party driver softwares, even with the new PSU the freezes persists.

i tried every solution i might think off and exaused every guide and tutorial out there, please help, i've been playing on console for 20 years and this is the first pc i ever built.

Sounds very similar to my issue here... although on my system the crash is not at all regular or consistent and days can go by without it happening whereas you're saying in your case it's always within an hour?

depending on games, high demanding games takes 10 minutes to 30 minutes max to freeze while games like sundrered or pillars of eternity takes 1 hour to freeze.

I'd test it with one stick of RAM in required slot for stability, testing each alternately...

And/or, adopt a conservative RAM XMP profile...or borrow two known good sticks from someone else....

(I would not suspect CPU thermals, as the rig should just throttle, vice completely freezing up...; but, it would not hurt to check HWMonitor for core temps anyway)

did memtest86 for 3 hours (4 passes) because someone in another post mentionned that windows memory diagnostic is not very reliable unlike memtest, the results was 0 errors.
just run prime95 and when i did ''blend'' stress test pc froze twice in row when i ended the test, the first test was 2 mnts long and the second was 1 minutes long and in both cases whenever i stoped the test the pc froze and had to hard reset

The blended test in Prime 95 uses quite a bit of RAM-intensive data transfers....

Try adopting more conservative XMP profile....2666 MHz instead of 3000 or 3200, etc...

Make sure no overclock presets are engaged/enabled within the BIOS...

We'd all like to think that if RAM passes memtest86, it must be flawless, but, you are suffering stability issues...and Prime95/blended is RAM intensive.

Test Prime95/blended with one stick at a time....and/or at lower RAM speeds....

Is your CPU overclocked at all? As you have 3200 MHz RAM, try running just XMP 3000 MHz profile....

WHat core/package temps are seen in HWMonitor? (And what is highest clock speed seen on all cores during Prime95?)

Also, only use Prime95 version 26.6, as later versions are over power spec for intensity with AVX workloads, and most systems would require an AVX offset to ramp turbos to lesser values...

However, since your system is freezing merely watching Youtube, I doubt this is a thermal issue....

You can certainly give up on any Win7 installs...; stick to Win10 exclusively (or WS2016, WS2019, Linux) for this generation of mainboards/CPUs...

Just to rule out any data corruption issues, make latest USB install media from MS download, and , try installing to a different SSD...; delete partitions, and start fresh....

You could humor us, and test w/ one RAM stick at a time....

No need to reinstall all games since the rig locks up/freezes on Prime95 blended....

You could also test for stability without your GPU installed, which would free up 180-200 watts in PSU budget...(although a 650 watt PSU should be plenty for your ~375-400 watt total peak load system)

newly built keep freezing mid gaming no matter the game.

please find link file for crash logs in google drive from log collector v2 beta, all i can get from it is error 10016 which is usually harmless, after testing my rig one by one i'm almost certain the reason for those freezes is drivers conflict.

please help.

tested the ram once more, once plugged in and tested, the first stick takes 10 to 20 minutes of gaming to freeze while the second takes like 2 hours max to freeze, and this has been tested one by one.

i didn't configure anything and just let the bios decide everything on auto, do i need to make a specific setup for them or are they just faulty ?
i'm waiting for a spare but it will take days to arrive, please advise.

further updates:

i run intel CPU Diagnostic tool, it said PASS for all tests, so i run prime95 blend stress test for 6 hours straight, there was no crash and no errors, cpu usage was 100% the entire test and temp never passed 70 degrees, might try to run the other tests overnight later.

i pulled out the CPU and checked the pins and the thermal paste (followed tuto on youtube) and everything looked fine, no dents and thermal paste was done nicely, checked for faulty sata cables too.

CPU: physical CPU looks fine, IPDT and prime95 tests are conclusive, will continue tests later.

GPU: tested with 3dmark and furmark, swapped for a tested working GPU same model and the freezes still happens.

RAM: i did run memtest86+ for 16h\8 passes with no error for each stick alone, tested every stick in every slot too.

PSU: returned it to the retailer and he gave a different one the same model, https://pcpartpicker.com/product/3t8H99/cooler-master-power-supply-rs650afbag1us

DISKS: tested with USB Seatools Boot file for long generic test, do i need to test with other softwares ?
MOBO: updated to 1.6 bios flash, should i reset and update again ?

the freezes are happening because of ram but i don't know if it's because of voltage or bad bios or the rams are just faulty.

hwinfo results while 3dmark was running with cpu-z screenshots.

Saw in the userbenchmark that the smaller ssd has a different firmware, might well be older. Use the software from the makers site to update the ssd.

Also if there is a difference in sticks for time to freeze up might you well try and rma the kit.At least make sure that XMP is enabled, oreven try to lower the speed, like try 2933mhz and see if that makes a difference.

it might be a bad motherboard, are you able to try out another one and see if that helps?

tried xmp profile with with every ram in every slot, also updated gpu driver that got released yesterday, ssd firmwares are updated to the latest with adata toolbox.
please find attached file for recent memtest86 result https://ibb.co/vB5Y96R .

@Devileyes i swapped psu and borrowed a gpu but i can't have a motherboard to test, this is a newly built pc and really want to believe that at least the mobo is not faulty.

the reason why i am thinking that is because you have already tried every other component except for the motherboard.. so it's only reasonable to think its the motherboard

this is a quote from a someone who had a similar issue to your own
I have exactly the same problem right now :p i tried everything you said and it still happens.I have finally came up to a solution by searching everywhere :D The only thing you can do is to change your Mobo or GPU.Here's how it is:Some GPU chips are not compatible with some Mobo chipsets. The thing is your GPU isn't really compatible with your Mobo, there is still a chance that what i'm saying is wrong so give it a little more search but this is the most likely problem.I recommend you to change your GPU as changing a motherboard will mess more things up. I hope i helped you

i will return pc tomorrow to the retailer and hopefully they can figure the problem out.
is there a software that can stress test everything at the same time like a game do to make crashes more reliable to happen ? i don't want to sound awkward explaining the issue to the technician, imagine him trying to replicate the issue and waiting for freeze to happen in front of the screen for 30 minutes straight, and instead tell him to run that software to save time.

hi, just got pc back from retailer and according to them the freezes were happening from the cpu, after swapping back and forth several times they were certain of it, i have been playing for the last couple of ours and there was no problems yet, i'm just skeptical, i was certain that the problem was from elsewhere, i tested the cpu by both intel diagnostic and prime95 for 8 hours straight and nothing happened, not that i'm complaining though.

also in speccy the ram still appears as 14go, is it just UI bug just like 9700k appears as 7700 ?

So you got a new psu? Which would be nice.

You could do the next to see what it gives for parts,

download hwinfo,
install and open it=click run,
close the top window which is the system summary,
in the main window at the left top click "save report",
at the bottom of the next window check "short text report",
after that you'll see what's in the pc,
The "system summary" will also display this info.
