Newly built PC not starting up

Sorry if this is not the correct board to post in.
Awhile ago, I posted a thread for my old build, saying that one day it randomly cut power and would not turn back on. Eventually, I replaced my PSU, nothing. So, I got a new CPU and motherboard. It was time for an upgrade anyway.

That takes us to today, where I build the computer. The CPU, motherboard, and PSU are all new. The RAM, HDD, fan, GPU and case are not. I plug everything in, and... nothing. Nothing will turn on. There is no light on this board, so I dont know if it is gettting power or not. This is driving me up the wall. I don't know what I need to do.

Any help is appreciated, thank you.

CPU: i3-4170
mobo: Gigabyte B85M-DS3H-A
PSU: EVGA 500w 100-W1-0500-KR

I have tried it both ways. I have also tried flipping the connecter that turns it on (not sure what its called)

might be incompatible ram take one out try turning on then try the same for the outer ram stick

Just tried, nothing. It is 1600 so it should work.

If you're having no luck start over from the beginning. Unplug everything and start the build over from zero.

Also you are sure the power socket you are using actually works right?

Ok and yes, I have tried two.
