newly built pc with no poweer

i have built a pc for Christmas and there is no power running through the system. i have installed everything properly and all the cables are in the right place . any suggestions thanks.

Either a component is faulty or cable is not right.
Please check
1) is the power button turned on at the back of the PSU?
2) the case Power Switch 2 pin connector is connected to the Pwd Sw pin on the motherboard
3) CPU 4+4 pin is connected
