Newly built pc wont boot my m.2 samsung drive unless i do boot override

I just built my pc i7 6700k gtx 1060 on an asus z170-a mobo it starts up fine then i goto install windows 10 it works fine then it needs to restart but it takes me back to the 5shell screen i go into bios it says windows program m.2 samsung so it did install but it wont boot from the m.2 unless i manually do it from boot menu or boot override and windows 10 is there and works but if i restart through windows 10 it just goes blank and nothing comes up on my monitor but if i power it down then back up it brings me back to shell screen please help i am new to this and really want this to work i spent 13 hours in total to build and trying to fix it yesterday

You stated after the Windows 10 install, your computer boots into Windows fine manually. If this is correct try unplugging the usb installation media. If your computer boots properly after doing so you likely have to alter the boot order in the bios.

It is in the proper boot order and the usb isnt plugged in!! Idk what to do

The boot menu in the bios will sometimes list two options for the same drive. One option will have uefi in front of it. If you installed windows properly, try prioritizing that selection.

It says windows boot manager samsung ssd 950 pro 256b as number 1 boot priority then below it is samsung ssd 950 pro 256gb then below that is my 2tb hdd

You said it lists the 950 pro twice. Try the other one.

Just tried it and it didnt do anything 🙁 everytime i try to restart my pc it doesnt show up on my monitor it just says no device detected then i have to power it down then turn it back on for it to show up

Unplug the 2tb hdd and see if the problem persists.

I tried booting the m.2 not the windows boot manager one and it just shows a blinking white line on the top left whole the rest of the screen is black

With the 2tb HDD still unplugged, can you boot to the m.2 drive in safe mode?

Tapping f8 doesnt bring anything up it just brings me to the shell screen as usual

Yeah im pretty sure it is, its the samsung 950 pro 256gb

Call ASUS the motherboard manufacturer. They will help you fix the problem for free, seeing the board is still under warranty.
