So I decided to build my first pc, and I used the following parts:

-Gigabyte GA-F2A88XM-D3HP

-Coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO

-Seagate BarraCuda ST1000DM010 1TB 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Hard Drive

-G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) Desktop Memory Model F3-2133C11D-16GXL

-EVGA 430 W1 100-W1-0430-KR 80+ WHITE 430W Power Supply

-AMD Athlon X4 860k with AMD Quiet Cooler Quad-Core Socket FM2+ 95W AD860KXBJASBX Desktop Processor

-GIGABYTE Ultra Durable 2 Series Radeon R7 240 DirectX 12 GV-R724OC-2GI REV2.0 2GB 128-Bit DDR3 PCI Express 3.0 x8 HDCP Ready ATX Video Card

I am also using an old case from a pc from 2010, the monitor that I am using came with the pc, and I know for a fact that the monitor still works because I had it hooked up to a laptop about 2 weeks ago. So the problem I have is that my pc turns on, but it doesn't connect to my monitor, all it says is "No signal". I know that all parts of my pc are getting power, as all the fans installed are spinning. As a side note, I will mention that the GPU doesn't have a 6-pin connector (I have no idea wether or not this matters). So any help at all will be greatly appreciated.

Solution
Connections seem right. Try removing the graphics card, all other cables and keeping only the CPU fan, 24 and 8 pin power cables and the start button wires. Start the board and, if still single beep, I'd RMA both board and CPU.

I decided to plug my build into pcpartpicker, and they came up with this: Some AMD A88X chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Kaveri CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions.

What does it mean?

Based off the list, if I were to replace my CPU with some thing like the A10-7700K, would it be possible to keep the motherboard?
