[SOLVED] Newly built PC won't display image

Hi,

Just completed a setup:
Ryzen 5 3600
16gb ram 3200
MSI B450M A Pro Max mobo
600W PSU
No GPU yet, waiting for it to arrive and decided to flash the bios to support the CPU but whenever I boot it up I get no display but the keyboard gets recognised and changes lights for numlock/caps.
RAM/mobo are all brand new parts, CPU is an old one that was working just fine up until now.

Have tried the following:
-Single RAM stick tests;
-CMOS reset;
-Different monitors/different cables;
-Resetting all cabling;

I was using an HDMI cable but now have swapped to DVI->VGA adaptor (don't have a DVI-DVI cable at hand and the mobo has no VGA port)

Please advise.

To those who want to know: Placed a GPU I had on hand and it displayed image. Hope this helps someone else.

Was going to say the processor has no built in graphics so you must use a video card.
