Newly Built PC won't start, no lights, no sounds, might as well be a brick.

I just built a new pc and after assembling it it works just as well as when the parts were in separate boxes. there is absolutely no response when I try to turn it on. I know the psu switch is on and I am relatively sure the cables are all secure.

Is there a cable I may have forgotten to plug in or something else I am missing all together?

Nope, I double checked that already and the power button pin is in the correct location.

I've seen bad switches before although rare. Try shorting the pins with a screwdriver.

That did nothing.

Unplug all of you power connectors to you computer. Get a paper clip or something similar, and short the green hole with any black. If your psu switch is in the correct position, your power supply should turn on. If not...it is dead.

I wanted to do this test to start with, but my cables are all black and i don't see any defining marks. Is there a standard order to the cables or way i can tell which is which other than by color?

Yes the PSU switch is on, and I ran all the tests to no avail. Here are my specs

You followed the complete checklist including breadboarding it? I have seen a short cause a computer not to boot a few times. Taking it out of the case will rule that out. If you followed all those steps and still get nothing then yes, you may have a dead PSU. A quick check with a multi meter will tell you. The list I linked you to tells you how.
