I just recently got an SSD for christmas and installed windows to it. I had previously used a different hard drive for all of my things and now have that set as my secondary storage for all of the games i do not play often. The problem is when I boot with my ssd everything works fine and my secondary harddrive pops up, but when I search and try to boot things off the 2nd hard drive it does not detect it is installed and asks me to repair the game/apps. Any clue on why?

Solution
You can't run applications from the old drive and its OS.
The new OS on your SSD does not know anything about them.

You'll have to reinstall those applications.

Steam games can probably be used in the original location.
After you've installed a new Steam client with the new OS, this:
Steam games location
In the steam client:
Steam
Settings
Downloads
Steam Library Folders
Add library folder
