Newly upgraded computer's internet is painfully slow.

Hello everyone. I have recently upgraded my computer and since I have done so my wireless speed is very slow (Download speed: 4.05 Mbps). This is the only computer in my house struggling with this problem and I really don't know what else I can try to fix it. Here's some information you might need to know:
MoBo:----- MSI 277A-G43
Power Supply:----- Thermaltake Smart 650W
Wifi Adapter:----- Edimax ew-7811un
OS:----- Windows 7
ISP:----- AT&T Uverse (5 devices currently connected)
CPU:----- Intel i5 2500k
If there's anything else you need to know just tell me

Things I have tried:
I have scanned my computer multiple times with AVG and Malwarebytes and nothing has been found so I don't think a virus is a problem.
Updated drivers
Restart wireless
Move the Edimax ew-7811un to every other USB port
Boot up in safe mode with networking (did not make a difference)
netsh winsock reset catalog
netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log
netsh int ipv6 reset reset.log

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have that Edimax wifi adapter. How many bars of coverage do you have with it? It does not have much of an antenna.

Run Vistumbler to see what wifi channels your neighbors are on, and choose the one with the least interference.

Alright I switched channels, and it says I have 5 bars but the internet is still extremely bad..

If this is the only device having the issue, than I would get a new wifi adapter. They definitely wear out after a few years, especially with regular, daily use.
