I was wondering if anyone could tell me why I continue to see a nexbox_a95x on my network under Phones? I do not have one of these Android boxes, so it makes me feel like someone has tapped into my network or something.
I'm starting to wonder if it was the guy who installed my internet, because he sat there on his phone for some bit, after he got the connection going. However, I changed the password on both the router and my wifi, but I can't get rid of seeing this as a phone connected to my network. These android boxes aren't actually phones, but I guess that is besides the point. I don't have any options in getting rid of it. Any ideas how to remove it?
I'm not sure how I can add a picture; it asks for the URL. I can't just upload a photo?
Basically, when I open explorer, I click on my networks tab,and it takes me to all the devices connected to my network such as computers, media devices, network infrastructure, other devices, and finally phones. The culprit sits under the phones section.
Just post it to Imgur and post the link here without getting fancy, just put it in here as text.
That's just a device your computer is seeing or has seen in the past, that doesn't mean it's on your network. If it's nearby you could just be seeing it via Bluetooth or something. If it's actually ON your network, you'll have to look at your router and see what devices are actually connected to the network in question.
Thank you. I was assuming that my computer was just picking up the device, but I wanted to make sure they weren't actually on my network. I will check the router just for peace of mind. Thanks again.
