Any estimates/news on when the next lineup of gpu's and cpu's will drop? And what do you guys think the prices will look like? I'm not in urgent need of an upgrade but don't really want to wait longer than 6 months either.

Solution
Ryzen prices dropped quite a bit recently, Ryzen2 is due in few month. As far as Intel is concerned Meltdown may delay new processors for a while if Intel is smart or care enough.
Top end GPUs are going to be expensive and in short supply for a while due to Bitcoin craze. Both Nvidia and AMD are playing naive saying that they can't produce enough but most probably just capitalizing on situation and raking money.
RAM prices are very much an unknown because of same manufacturers making also SSD and phone memory.

Thanks for the info. Is it likely the next gen of Nvidia cards will MSRP similarly to the current line's MSRP? Or do the new cards usually come out costing a little more?

Well. last series of Rx5xx cards by AMD came out with somewhat lower price than Rx 4xx but there's larger gap in prices of low to middle end cards and high end cards, similar way with Nvidia. Seems that higher end cards (used by Bitcoin miners) has it's own policy.
