[SOLVED] Next GPU Upgrade

My current specs are
Ryzen 5 2600x
GTX 1060 6GB
16 GB Ram
650w Corsair Power Supply

I’m wondering what gpu I should buy in the future. I’ll probably upgrade sometime in the summer but I’m having a hard time deciding which would work best. Any suggestions?

The monitor is really old. Going to upgrade that too. Trying to decide whether to go with 1080p or 1440p. Budget would be probably anything below $700. I’m in the US.

Thinking about upgrading my graphics card and wondering how much I’m limited by the power supply. My current specs are:

GTX 1060 6GB
Ryzen 5 2600X
16GB RAM
Corsair CX650M

So my question is can the power supply support a RTX 2070 Super/RTX 2080?

Its not really about wattage but more about qaulity. The CX is a good budget line of PSUs, however I wouldnt put anything past a 1660 Super or ti on it. I would look at getting a 650 watt Corsair TXm or RMx which would be suitable for either the 2070 or 2080.

You could also look at the Seasonic FOCUS GX, GM, PX line of PSUs.

there's plenty of power there for that upgrade. a quality "average" psu like yours is fine so long as you don't try to run it flat out all the time. you'll not be close to the max with that set-up. i'd not worry myself and would not think twice about doing the upgrade.

no problem. the cx series has come a long way the last few years and they perform very well for their price/features offered.
