I've gotten some help looking at a new PC build at around $900 with the build I have below. After watching some videos and watching some articles I'm considering up what I intend to get for a graphics card possibly to the "next level." I am a pretty light gamer playing mostly World of Warships, strategy games, Civilization, COH and maybe some newer titles when they come out like Diablo. First of all, if I went with a better card, would I see any benefit playing these games? My other assumption is that a better card might maintain the better performance for longer. I am hoping any graphics card I have can last at least 6+ years so reliability is a question. I don't plan to OC it. The current monitor I have is below and I don't plan to upgrade and I only plan to use 1 monitor. The extra budget for the card I'm thinking of should be about another $100 over what I've already budget putting it somewhere around $330. Are there any cards that fit the bill? If not, feel free to mention that as well.

I see, it is quite a bit more and I also noticed it is an XT. Does that make is any more unreliable being factory OC? My graphics cards tend to die every 4 years and I don't push them at all, never OC, system is on around 5 hours daily and gaming at most 2 hours daily. I don't think that's normal.

How many cards fail on you and which were those cards? Also, how did they die, as in how did you know they were irreparable?

I can't for certain they were irreparable but at least they were deemed worthy by XFX to be RMAed for another card under their warranty. The original card in 2012 was a 7950 which I got a 390? not exactly sure, which then in 2020 started to have issues than I got a RX 570. In all three instances I started getting weird artifacts on my screen and a few BSOD which were resolved with a new card. Before 2012 the same thing had happened before when I built a new computer in 2006, the card went bad in 2008 which I got an RMA at that time with EVGA. The entire screen image distorted, image resolved with new card. None of the cards were ever overclocked.

AMD has come a long way since those days. The issue back in the day was poor driver support. That is not the case anymore.
