Its been close to over a year since I got my gaming PC. I've noticed that some games are getting laggy and slowish. For example Chivalry Medieval Warfare and Minecraft are the main games that are slowing down. I've had to turn down settings to be able to play with out lag. One upgrade I was thinking about getting is a new CPU and motherboard. I can't really upgrade my CPU without getting a new motherboard. I was thinking about a i5 4670k and a Asus Z87-A motherboard. I've heard the i5s are great for gaming. Or is there a more important part I should upgrade to? GPU and PSU?

Whether you go Intel CPU/MOBO or keep your CPU and get a new MOBO, I still advise you to upgrade your GPU. Even at stock CPU frequencies you will see improvement in gaming moving up from the 7850.

i would just upgrade your GPU and get something like the GTX 760 or a R9 270X i have a FX 6300 in my other computer and i overclocked it to 4.5GHz and i have a R9 290 in it and it runs great with no bottleneck

so i think all you need to upgrade is your GPU

I've looked around the internet and found that my motherboard isn't good for overclocking...
