Hi.

I have an Asus G11CD-B13 desktop with the specs below; any suggestions on what I should target first for upgrading for better gaming performance? (Please ignore all the external drives ;) )

I'm looking forward to playing Control when it comes out later this month. According to You Can Run It, I should upgrade my CPU to meet recommended settings for that game... Should that be my next upgrade?

TIA

Your CPU is a bit less powerful than the min requirement for this game but you should be able to run it just fine as long as you have a powerful GPU.

No need to upgrade in advance.

Obviously your CPU is the limiting factor

so if you wish, you can consider upgrading to i7-6700.

It's funny how i5-6400 has nearly the same performance as the 4 years older i5-2400.

Also make sure your PSU make and model is of sufficient quality and not too old so that regardless as to what you upgrade, you don't have a poor quality PSU cause instability or risk to your other components.

I wouldn't upgrade in advance of a new game, what applications are you currently struggling to play?
